GCSE & A Level Exams 2019 Contingency Day
The Joint Council for Qualifications have designated a ‘contingency day’ within the common examination timetable.
A contingency date is a day specifically set aside, should sustained national or local disruption arise during the June 2019 examination series. If disruption happens, the GCSE and/or A Level examinations would be taken either for the first time or again on that day.
The contingency date for 2019 is Wednesday 26th June.
Consequently, in the extremely unlikely event that an awarding body deems it necessary to postpone an exam, it is likely to be rearranged for this date and candidates therefore must remain available until Wednesday 26 June 2019 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
No students are to leave before this date.
