We are proud of our professional team of chefs who provide daily well-balanced, nutritious meals which are prepared with fresh ingredients and are sourced where possible from local suppliers. Breakfast, lunch and supper are times when pupils, staff and resident families can enjoy each other's company in the Great Hall. In addition to the centralised kitchen and dining hall where main meals are served, all houses have kitchen facilities where pupils can make snacks, with provisions provided by our catering team.

Care is taken to ensure that a large selection of dishes are available for all pupils, including a range of vegetarian options. An abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables and salad is available at all meals. We are also able to cater for special dietary requirements such as dairy/lactose intolerance and gluten-free.

There are calendared 'themed events' in which the menus are tailored to the theme or nationality. These include French, Spanish and German evenings, along with a celebratory Chinese New Year banquet. These events are very popular with both the pupils and staff as they provide an interesting insight into the dining habits of other countries and a showcase for the chefs’ skills.

Boarders’ Birthdays do not go unmissed. Birthday cakes are baked and decorated and presented to pupils at supper time with a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ sung by the whole College community.
